Puglia with kids: stays that welcome children

The short version

Few of the stays on The Puglia Edit say clearly whether children are welcome. Of the 169 stays, 25 confirm on their official sites that they welcome children, as of October 27, 2026, and 11 of those also confirm family rooms or a kids' club: three each in Gallipoli and on the Gargano, two each around Monopoli and Polignano and Ostuni, and one in Lecce. For the other 144, ask first.

Which Puglia stays welcome children?

As of October 27, 2026, 25 of the 169 stays on The Puglia Edit confirm on their official sites that they welcome children. For 144 stays the sites do not say either way, and three of those set a minimum age: 14 at Le Capase Resort, 12 in the rooms at Grotta Palazzese and 9 at Le Alcove in Alberobello. A stay without a confirmed answer has not refused children, and is a question to ask before you book.

Eleven of the 25 also confirm family rooms or a kids’ club. They form the families collection, and the table lists them.

The other 14 confirm that children are welcome, but not family rooms or a kids’ club, on the pages we read: Almapetra Trulli Resort, Borgobianco Resort & Spa Polignano, Casale del Murgese, Grand Hotel Olimpo, Hotel Gargano, Hotel Parco Serrone, La Fiermontina Luxury Home, Le Dune Suite Hotel, Masseria Mongiò dell’Elefante, Masseria Ruri Pulcra, Palazzo Daniele, Relais Masseria La Grande Quercia, Relais Villa San Martino and Tenute D’Onghia.

The 25 sit in 11 of the 14 areas. Gallipoli and the Gargano have four each, the Valle d’Itria and Monopoli and Polignano three each, and Lecce, the Alta Murgia, Leuca and Ostuni two each.

Fasano and Savelletri, Otranto and Taranto have one each. Bari and Trani, Brindisi and the Foggia area have none confirmed.

What do the stays say about families?

The wording varies from stay to stay, so read it closely. Gattarella Family Resort near Vieste calls babies, toddlers and children the real stars of the resort and lists a mini club. Borgobianco Resort & Spa Polignano says children of all ages are welcome and calls its White restaurant family-friendly, with a dedicated menu for younger guests.

Palazzo Flora in Gallipoli answers in its FAQ that it welcomes families, is not adults-only and offers family rooms. Palazzo Presta, also in Gallipoli, calls itself a child-friendly hotel and says it offers family rooms.

Palazzo Colombo gives the same answer in its FAQ. Tivoli Palazzo 1880 Lecce says it offers families a warm welcome, with family guestroom options and child-friendly dining.

La Fiermontina Luxury Home in Lecce has a page for families and says it provides ad hoc services for couples traveling with children. Its FAQ confirms cots and children’s beds, and its site describes three connecting suites for families or friends.

Other answers are shorter. Le Dune Suite Hotel in Porto Cesareo describes a family atmosphere with particular attention to children.

Palazzo Daniele in Gagliano del Capo says it suits couples, families or groups, and that the whole property can be rented. Hotel Parco Serrone in Corato calls itself a hotel suited to children, and the Region’s register describes a garden with a children’s playground at Relais Masseria La Grande Quercia near Mottola.

Which stays have family rooms?

Thirty stays confirm family rooms. Eleven of them also confirm that children are welcome, the 11 in the table above. Torre dei Preti near Peschici describes Family Rooms with a double bedroom, a small bedroom and a living area with a kitchenette. Masseria Il Frantoio in Ostuni is among the most specific of the other 19: its family rooms take up to five people, with an extra bed for children.

The other 19 confirm family rooms without saying, on the pages we read, whether they welcome children of every age. They are Baia delle Zagare Resort near Mattinata, Bianco Riccio Suite Hotel in Savelletri, Hotel dei Cavalieri in Barletta, Hotel Palazzo Papaleo in Otranto, Hotel San Nicola in Altamura, Hotel Up in Foggia, Masseria Corsano in Nardò, Masseria Il Frantoio, Hotel Masseria Le Pajare in Presicce-Acquarica, Masseria Monet and Masseria Santa Teresa in Monopoli, Masseria San Michele and Masseria Trulli e Vigne in Martina Franca, Masseria Santo Scalone near Ostuni, Ostuni Palace Hotel Bistrot & SPA in Ostuni, Palascia Wellness Relais in Otranto, Palazzo De Noha in Lecce, Palazzo Indelli in Monopoli and Villa Maria in Crispiano. Ask about ages before you book one of them.

Three more stays describe a family room on their own pages, though our count of 30 does not include them: Le Dune Suite Hotel in Porto Cesareo lists a Family Superior for two adults and two children up to 12, Masseria Montelauro near Otranto two communicating Family Suites, and Masseria Prosperi a Family Suite. Ask each to confirm the room and the ages.

A family room is not a standard size. At Tivoli Palazzo 1880 Lecce, for example, the Premium Room is listed for three adults, while most Deluxe rooms are listed for two. Check the occupancy of the exact room, not the category name.

Is there a kids club or babysitting?

Five of the 169 stays list a kids club. Gattarella Family Resort and Hotel Kyrie on the Isole Tremiti list a mini club and say children are welcome; Borgo Egnazia, Pugnochiuso Resort and Vivosa Apulia Resort also list a kids club, a Mini & Junior Club or five clubs from age 2 to 17, but we hold no statement on children for them. Gattarella adds a condition for free places for children: a minimum of two paying adults per room, up to two children.

Elsewhere the help is smaller and more personal, and most of it is on request. Masseria Il Frantoio lists books, films and music for children, board games, babysitting, children’s meals and special diets on request.

Ottolire Resort in Locorotondo lists babysitting on request, and Palazzo Colombo and Palazzo Presta list a babysitting service for an extra charge. Masseria Torricella in Alberobello offers an itinerary for children to meet the farm’s animals.

Are there age limits to check?

Some stays set them, and they can catch a family out. Le Capase Resort in Santa Cesarea Terme, near Otranto, says it only hosts children over the age of 14.

Limits can also apply to one part of a stay. Borgobianco Resort & Spa welcomes children of all ages but opens its wellness area only to guests aged 16 and over.

At Grotta Palazzese in Polignano a Mare, the restaurant takes children under 10 only until the 4:30 pm sitting, and the hotel’s room pages say no children under 12 are admitted. Gattarella Family Resort says its suites on the highest point of the hill are not recommended for families with young children.

Pools differ too. Posia Retreat & SPA in San Foca has a heated adult-only pool and a sky pool, not heated, that it says is fully accessible to children. Tenuta Centoporte near Otranto describes a saltwater pool with a hydromassage corner, designed for young and old, and a separate pool for adults.

How should I choose a stay with children?

Start from the 11 family stays if you need one room for everyone, then narrow by what your family needs. If a pool is the plan for every afternoon, 20 of the 25 stays that welcome children confirm one, but check whether children may use it, and note that Palazzo Colombo has none of its own.

Then choose the setting. For a resort week by the sea, look at Gattarella Family Resort on the Gargano.

For space in the countryside, Il Melograno near Monopoli has two pools, a family suite with a private patio and a private beach club reached by a free shuttle, and Masseria Le Carrube near Ostuni has a room for six. For an old town, Palazzo Presta in Gallipoli and Tivoli Palazzo 1880 in Lecce sit in historic centers.

Price bands help set the budget. Among the 25, ten are in estimated band 1, seven in band 2, six in band 3 and two, La Fiermontina and Palazzo Daniele, in band 4. How we select explains the bands and why they are estimates.

Twenty of the 25 confirm a restaurant, so an evening meal can stay on site. Eating at a masseria covers restaurants, half board and cooking classes.

If the family pet travels too, 15 of the 25 accept pets: three say pets are allowed and 12 take them on request. The pet-friendly pages for Gallipoli and the Gargano list the conditions each stay states.

What should I ask before booking with children?

Ask the stay to confirm in writing that children of your children’s ages are welcome, and in which room. Ask about cots, extra beds and their cost, and whether the pool, the spa and the restaurant have age rules.

Then ask about the practical day: whether babysitting is possible on your dates, whether the kitchen can cook simple meals for children, and what time dinner starts. The verification date on each stay page shows when we last checked the official site.
