The rule

A stay is included when its official information says children are welcome and also confirms family rooms or a kids' club. A stay that is silent on either point is left out.

The short version

Eleven stays on The Puglia Edit say on their official sites that children are welcome and confirm family rooms or a kids' club. The Gargano and Gallipoli have three each, Monopoli and Polignano and Ostuni two each, and Lecce one. Five are masserie, four palazzi, one a resort and one a hotel. Estimated price bands run from 1 to 3.

How is the list of family stays built?

A stay is on this list when its official information says children are welcome and also confirms family rooms or a kids’ club. We compute the list from verified facts and recalculate it whenever a stay is added or re-checked, and the page goes live only with five or more qualifying stays.

Where a source sets an age limit, such as no children under 12, the stay is not counted as welcoming children and its page shows the limit. Fourteen stays say children are welcome but do not confirm family rooms or a kids’ club. If one of them appeals, ask the hotel what it offers families.

How to choose a family stay in Puglia

For a resort week, start with Gattarella Family Resort near Vieste: hotel rooms, apartments and villas in a pinewood, with a private beach, two pools and a mini club. It says children under 16 stay free under set conditions.

The Gargano also has Torre dei Preti, an agriturismo on an estate of more than 26 hectares near Peschici, whose Family Rooms combine a double bedroom, a small bedroom and a living area with a kitchenette. Offshore on the Isole Tremiti, Hotel Kyrie puts its Family rooms, for up to four people, in small villas in the pine wood, and lists a mini club and baby sitting. The Gargano hub lists the rest of the area.

For the old towns, Gallipoli has three: Palazzo Colombo, Palazzo Flora and Palazzo Presta, each with family rooms and none adults only. Palazzo Colombo has no pool of its own and sends guests to Palazzo Flora’s. In Lecce, Tivoli Palazzo 1880 Lecce offers family guestroom options and child-friendly dining.

For space, look at the masserie. Il Melograno near Monopoli has two pools, a family suite with a private patio and two bathrooms, and a private beach club reached by a free shuttle. Masseria Paretano is the area’s other family stay. Near Ostuni, Masseria Le Carrube has 19 rooms, a pool, a room for six people and a vegetarian restaurant, and Masseria Salinola offers a family suite and baby-sitting on request.

Bands run from 1 to 3. Gattarella, Hotel Kyrie, Paretano and Torre dei Preti are band 1, Le Carrube, Colombo and Salinola band 2, and the other four band 3.

Ten of the eleven accept pets, and the Pet-friendly stays page sets out the terms. The guide to Puglia with kids covers ages, beaches and the rest of the planning.

What does the list not tell you?

The list leaves out ages, prices for children and the size of a family room. Look for those on each stay’s page, and expect some to be unpublished.

Opening months are not confirmed for six of the eleven. The three Gallipoli stays (Palazzo Colombo, Palazzo Flora and Palazzo Presta) are open from March to November, and the Region’s register lists Hotel Kyrie from April to October and Masseria Salinola all year. Check the season before you book a school holiday.

Five areas have a family stay today. Nine have none, among them the Valle d’Itria, Fasano and Savelletri, Otranto and Leuca, although several of their stays say children are welcome. If a family rooms or kids’ club line is missing for a stay you know, the owner can send a correction through the For properties page.

Questions travelers ask

What counts as a family stay on The Puglia Edit?

A stay counts when its own official information says that children are welcome and also confirms family rooms or a kids' club. A stay silent on either point stays off the list, and its page shows the missing fact as not confirmed. The same test applies to every stay.

How many family stays are there in Puglia on The Puglia Edit?

The Puglia Edit lists eleven family stays, in five of its 14 areas. The Gargano and Gallipoli have three each, Monopoli and Polignano and Ostuni have two each, and Lecce has one. Fourteen more stays say children are welcome but do not confirm family rooms or a kids' club, so they are not counted.

Which family stay in Puglia has a kids' club?

Gattarella Family Resort near Vieste and Hotel Kyrie on the Isole Tremiti are the two stays in this collection that list a mini club. Gattarella adds a nursery for children under 3, a private beach and two pools. Three more stays list a kids' club, but we hold no statement that children are welcome there.

Are the family stays in Puglia budget or expensive?

They run from estimated band 1 to band 3, which means under about €750 a night for a double room in high season, and none is in band 4 or 5. Gattarella Family Resort, Hotel Kyrie, Masseria Paretano and Torre dei Preti are band 1. Bands are our estimates from positioning, not published rates.

Can I bring a pet to a Puglia family stay?

Ten of the eleven accept pets: Torre dei Preti without a stated condition, and Gattarella Family Resort, Hotel Kyrie, Il Melograno, Masseria Paretano, Masseria Salinola, Palazzo Colombo, Palazzo Flora, Palazzo Presta and Tivoli Palazzo 1880 Lecce on request. Masseria Le Carrube does not state a policy. Ask each property about size limits and fees.
